I am a big fan of M.T. Anderson and was delighted to hear that he had a new book coming out. At 149 pages, Landscape with Invisible Hand is a smart and slim read. My favorite SciFi by him however continues to be Feed, my favorite non-fiction is Symphony for the City of the Dead and my favorite historical fiction is Octavian Nothing. So while this was a clever one, and because of its size it could be a great book to share with reluctant readers, it didn’t break the heights of his other works. Maybe it was too slim, or the world wasn’t realized enough. As always I appreciate his reflective eye.
