Greetings! My name is Ms. Klosinski and I am very excited about the upcoming year and all the learning and growing that will take place. This is my fourth year at AAS. I come with a positive attitude and a desire to teach children to become lifelong learners. I am originally from Wisconsin, but consider myself a New Yorker as I spent many years living in New York City. I have a degree in International Studies, Spanish and a Masters degree in Elementary and Bilingual Education.
I enjoy learning both from and about other people and places which is why I travel as often and as much as possible. I’m an avid softball player and love animals. I enjoy working out at the gym and taking walks with my adorable Shih Tzu dog, Cofi. Traveling is my passion and I do it as much as possible. I traveled to Naples, Pompeii, Capri and the States this summer where I awaited the arrival of my first and only nephew, Bennett. He arrived seven hours after I boarded a plane to come back to Moscow. I can’t wait to meet him this December!
I aim to create a classroom where the children’s academic and social development, happiness, and safety are top priorities. I consider what we do in the classroom each day a learning adventure so you won’t hear me using the word “work” to describe the various activities and projects we’ll be doing. I keep high academic and social expectations and place significant emphasis on the gradual release of responsibility. I will strive to create an environment for your child that facilitates his/her learning that is both challenging and enriching. It brings me great joy to watch a child reach a goal they didn’t know was possible!
