|Dear Parents, |
As you have read in the Community Message from October 6, AAS is transitioning to Distance Learning for the week beginning Monday, October 12. This impacts our MAP testing schedule, as offering the online Distance MAP test to all students in Grade 2-10 is not feasible. Our current MAP plan is to finalize the MAP Math and Reading tests this week and postpone the Language test until we return on campus.
If your child has not completed or has not begun the MAP Math and/or Reading tests, we will offer an online opportunity for completion. We will be reaching out to students and their families if they are in need of completing the Math or Reading MAP test. They will join the Webex of Kirsten Welbes at https://aas.webex.com/meet/kirsten.welbes at one of the following times:
– Thursday, October 8 from 5:30-7:30pm Moscow time
– Friday, October 9 from 11:30-1:30pm Moscow time
– Friday, October 9 from 5:30-7:30pm Moscow time
– Saturday, October 10 from 8-11:00am Moscow time
– Saturday, October 10 from 4:00-6:00pm Moscow time
If none of these times works for your family, please be in touch with Kirsten Welbes to organize a mutually convenient time.
In order for your child to be ready for online MAP, please ensure that your child has: a quiet location in your home to take the test a device that can run the NWEA lockdown browser, link or iPad app.
There is an online Proctor Reference available to support parents, and there will be a few Online MAP Parent Information Sessions at:
– Thursday, October 8 from 9:00-9:30am
– Thursday, October 8 from 7:30-8:00pm
Please join Kirsten’s Webex for the Online MAP Parent Information Session.
If those times don’t work for you, again, please let Kirsten Welbes know, and she will find a mutually convenient time to connect.
If your family has already been participating in Distance MAP, Kirsten will be in touch to finalize the MAP Math and Reading tests that still need to be completed.
For all MAP related questions, please contact Kirsten Welbes at email@example.com.
