Grade 2 students will begin an Opinion writing unit this week. On Friday, all grade 2 students will participate in a mixed-group (by classes) rotation where they will explore various examples of how authors share their opinions. Following the rotation activities, students will go back to their classrooms and begin to apply some of the things they’ve learned during their rotations.
Over the course of the unit, kids will have the freedom to write numerous opinion pieces on topics of their choice as well as a focus on writing opinion pieces through book reviews.
